Korat Care - Page 2
Feeding:
Cheap supermarket shelf dry food should be avoided as this may encourage kidney problems. Unsurprisingly, Korats have expensive taste and only the best will do. Recommended brands are Royal Canin®, Advance by Whiskas®, Eukenuba®, Iams® and Hills Science Diet®. These can be purchased from good pet stores and veterinary surgeons nationwide.
Good quality canned food is fine (watch for specials) and these can be found in supermarkets. Korats will usually reject cheap generic brands. Fresh food such as raw chicken necks are fine, as well as cooked boneless chicken and red meat, which may be cooked or raw. Some Korats enjoy raw kangaroo meat. Fish must be cooked (e.g. steamed in a microwave) not raw, as raw fish contains an enzyme that is dangerous to felines. Salt must be avoided at all times. Korats may be fed morning and evening - but always leave them a bowl of good dry food and plenty of fresh water.
Sleeping Arrangements:
Probably your bed! Your Korat will decide this for his or her self, thank you very much.
